Fake News

I think that fake news is something that everyone now-a-day has dealt with or at least something that most people in today’s society has heard about and can acknowledge. I think that the media has been involved in fake news as much as the common person in the fake news movement. I think that the term “fake news” is also now a sort of mantra that our society is beginning to normalize.

“Fake news” is a new term that has grown in our society in recent years. Whether it is regarding actual false information or a disliked opinion or fact that someone does not like. It has become a socially accepted ideal, just like several other things that have become the new norm. Our society is obsessed with the idea of having your “own truth” or discovering “your truth”. This idea removes the idea of REAL truth. The kind that is actually true.

With the lack of desire regarding the real truth, our society is now ignorant of truth and openly opposes the truth, blaring “fake news” to anything they disagree with. The practice of agreeing to disagree has become unnecessary because why agree when you can bash and ignore the truth?

I think that our society has gone so far from searching from the truth that the truth is not something our society desires. The truth of Jesus Christ is something that our society has been continuing to reject, and with this rejection comes a lack of desire for truth in any setting.

The fact that our own national NEWS services/stations are even blamed with false witness and biased stories reveals the atrocity that is fake news in the world. If our own news stations are failing to reveal truth to our people, then what are we supposed to do?

I have seen NEWS stations reporting stories that omit the full truth to fit their political agenda, and I do not think that our society with ever recover from the “fake news” mantra until the NEWS media becomes less of a lying swamp, and actually shares truth in their stories. I think the real root of the problem is the lack of Jesus in our nation, and the problem will not really be fixed until Jesus returns.
